A Mi Lado released on iTunes on June 23rd in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg

This is big news for us. A Mi Lado, the feature documentary produced by JCDe Productions and distributed by CAT&Docs, will be released on iTunes on June 23rd in FranceSwitzerlandBelgium and in Luxembourg! And the US release will follow next month. After a successful festival run, the film will now be avilable for audiences around the world. You can already pre-order the film in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and in Luxembourg!

This release is an important step in an long and beautiful journey that started in 2011, when Jean-Cosme Delaloye shot the documentary in the Chureca, the largest dump in Central America. This place is an incredible place located on thores of lake Managua in Nicaragua. When you stood on a pile of trash, looking at the lake and the volcano far away, you could almost forget that you were in a landfill.

Since we shot the film, the Chureca has undergone tremedous transformation. As did Dominga, the main protagonist of the film. She now lives outside the Chureca. She went to school to learn how to read. She got an idetification card, which was huge for her, because it meant she finally “existed”.

We would like to thank the crew of the film: Jackie French, the editor, Nicolas Garcia, the director of photography, Edelmira Lopez, the associate producer, Catherine LeClef and Maëlle Guenegues, the distributors of the film, Elsa Zuniga, who is helping out Dominga in her new life.

Please help us spread the word and make sure this incredible story of courage and survival reaches as many people as possible.
